Registration Due: February 9, 2009
Teams are registered on a “first come – first paid” basis. Churches will be assigned to a meet based on order received and the need to balance the meets. Register early to get the meet you desire. Quiz Meet Format Awana Bible Quizzing incorporates two basic formats: Multiple Choice and Team Huddle. We will ask eight questions in Multiple Choice and Team Huddle. All questions will be taken from the current printing of the handbook materials, with both KJ, NKJ & NIV versions accepted.
Bible Quizzing Includes
Book 1 Start Zone Discoveries 1 – 3 No Silver or Gold Extra Credit Sections

Book 2 Discoveries 1 – 4 No Silver or Gold Extra Credit Sections

Book 3 Challenges 1 – 4 Omit Challenge 1:1 No Silver or Gold Extra Credit Sections

Book 4 Challenges 1 – 4 Omit Challenges 1:1, 2:1, 3:1 No Silver or Gold Extra Credit Sections
Quiz Teams A quiz team consists of three (3) to four (4) clubbers and refers to each T&T handbook – T&T Book 1, T&T Book 2, T&T Book 3 and T&T Book 4. Teams can be all girls, all boys or coed, grades 3-6 together. In Multiple Choice, only the top three scores are taken. Each team member must quiz over the book they are in during the current Awana Club year. Churches may submit one (1) quiz team consisting of one (1) or two (2) clubbers in addition to their normal quiz teams. The purpose of this small team league is to allow everyone the opportunity to quiz and provide fair competition. Each club may submit only one 1-2 member team per handbook. In Multiple Choice, only the top score is taken. Registration Deadline: All entries must be postmarked no later than February 9, 2009. Late registrations will be accepted if space is available. Awana Bible Quizzing Registration Form. Team Registration Fee: Team registration fee is $10 per 1-2 member teams and $20 per 3-4 member teams and must accompany the team’s completed registration form. The fee is non-refundable! Upon receipt of your registration form you will be sent additional information that will assist you in preparing for the Quiz Meet. Please note: • No walk-on teams will be permitted. • All teams must be registered by February 9.
Quizzing Staff Needs To run Bible Quiz Meets we need people to volunteer to fill the following positions: Judge Panel, Timers and Scorekeepers. See the Official Rules and Regulations for Quizzing to get more information. Each church must provide one staff person, other than a team coach, who will acquaint themselves with the quiz rules and be willing to serve while children are quizzing. Your registration form is not complete without this information.
Coaches All girls’ teams are to be coached by women, all boys teams are to be coached by men; coed teams can be coached by either a man or woman. All teams, coaches and staff personnel need to be registered and checked in ready to go 15 minutes before the team orientation and staff meeting. All team members, coaches and staff must follow the apparel (dress code) guidelines. Awana emphasizes the importance of modesty, neatness and cleanliness in apparel. See page 4 of the current Quizzing Rules & Regulations booklet. Take advantage of this special opportunity to help your clubbers memorize the Word of God in a greater and more meaningful way. If you are unable to enter a team this year, why not bring a group from your club so they can see first hand what it’s like!
